Where to start. My stay at this hotel was a nightmare. Firsly when we arrived a party of 6 people we had booked 3 double rooms. The receptionist said it was only 2 rooms booked even though we all had our confermation emails. staff were unfriendly and not helpfull over the situation. Secondly we booked double rooms we clearly got a single room with extra
mattress when we complained staff admitted it was a single room and becauce we were young it should not matter. What a disgrace. Would never again stay here.

We booked this place for new years and i have to say i have never stayed in a worse hotel. there was a party of 6 (3 couples) We had all booked 3 double rooms. On our arrival our friends were told that there was no room for them even though they had a printed confirmation. No effort was made to find them another hotel and the hotel refused to pay for the room had one been found. The receptionist didnt seem to know what he was doing and tried to tell us that we had booked for 4 nights and not 3. Again we had a printed confirmation. The other couple was the same. We opened the door to our room to discover a single bed in an 8 foot room. Having been charged for a double room we decided we'd sleep there and ask for as double in the morning. With a different receptionist on we though they could organise a new room for us. This lady was now only abrupt and incompetent but she threatened to cancel our door card and rent our room to someone else. This was new years eve, we couldnt find anywhere else in town so we were stuck with this place. The womans excuse for us not having a double room was that we were young and shouldnt be worried about the room. This place charged us hotel prices but it is essentially a hostel and a very badly run hostel at that. Amsterdam is a beautiful and crazy place and we had a good time but please to anyone reading this. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL
