Within walking distance you find two parks ('Mauerpark' & 'Volkspark Humboldthain') where you can relax or play tennis, soccer, go swimming etc., also particularly suitable for travellers with children. A shopping center with a wide variety of goods is just one underground stop away at the 'Gesundbrunnen'. The Berlin Wall Memorial with its documentation center at the "Bernauer Str.", an area situated at the former border between East and West, is just one underground stop nearby.
