History
The erstwhile capital of Munster, Cashel was a celebrated city when St. Patrick had a substantial influence through out the province. The third king of Cashel, Aengus is thought to have baptized by the Saint. Later in the 4th century, the Eóganachta dynasty made Cashel their capital.
