Estonia is located in the Baltic region of Northern Europe and is divided fifteen counties. The country has gained widespread recognition for being one of the fastest growing economies of the world for several years.
History of Estonia:
Settlement in Estonia began around 8500 BC. Foreign rule began in Estonia in 1227. The country was invariably ruled by many, including the Danish, Swedish, Russians, etc. In late 1991, Estonia finally regained independence and embarked its journey on the path of growth and development. Descendents of Baltic Finns, Estonians are today proud of a strong and fiercely independent economy of the country.
Popular Places and Attractions:
Tallinn, Tartu, Narva, Maldu, Parnu, etc are some of the major cities of Estonia. Tallinn is the largest and the capital city of the country. Extremely well preserved and complete, the cobbled streets of Old Town, Tallinn are a major tourist attraction. The Town Hall Square, St Olav Church (once the tallest building in Europe), Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, etc are some of the places worth a visit in the Old Town. Flora from all around the world can be treasured at the Botanical Garden in Tallinn.

Founded in 1632, the interesting structure of the buildings of the university is a classic example of neo-classical architecture in Estonia. Narva Castle is another crowd puller that was built in the 13th century by the Danes.
Other attractions at Estonia include Tallinn Zoo, Hermann Tower, Rocca al Mare Tivoli, Estonia’s largest amusement park, Kadriorg Palace and Park (housing Estonian Art Museum’s foreign collection), Estonian Open Air Museum, etc.
Getting Around in Estonia:
Faster and more frequent than trains, buses are hence an ideal mode of transport for getting around in Estonia. The buses also have a larger connectivity as compared to trams, a good guide to hassle free travel is to keep some small notes and coins handy to pay for your journey.

The nightlife in Estonia is dominated by flavor, fun and music. The country is dotted with clubs, pubs, cafes, restaurants, etc that together shimmer the evenings in Estonia.
