We're crazy about Berlin and we know what it's like, when you're a traveller, to want to explore a city of culture with your friends and family. That's why we carefully selected the location for The Hotel de Ela, choosing a place that was within easy walking distance of many of the city's famous places of interest such as the Boulevard Kurfurstendamm and KaDeWe and that had excellent traffic connections giving you access to the Brandenburger Tor, Unter den Linden, museums and cinemas, theatres and vaudevilles within a few minutes.

After all, your time is precious on holiday and you want to pack as much as you can into your trip.

Decently Sized Bedrooms
We also appreciate that in current economic times, a family trip or weekend break may indeed be a luxury outing for you and that is why the Hotel de Ela's culture is that of a small intimate hotel that welcomes rather than overwhelms its guests and has a 3 star rating for simple quality rather than an umpteen star rating for having gaudy chandeliers ready to drop on you, a carpet you're frightened to step on and a bed you're scared to sleep in!

Yet while we promise you no trashy "bling" decor, we'll also point out that each of our 15 swish modern bedrooms is large and spacious. We don't believe that "modernist" equates to a tiny spartan room like a cell! We pride ourselves on the fact that not a single competitor hotel has larger rooms than ours. We know that families, friends and trendy singletons don't want to feel crammed in to a small space when they are on holiday and we've deliberately designed The Hotel de Ela with fewer rooms because we did not want to divide rooms for the sake of profit.

After a peaceful night's sleep you'll then be able to start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and we offer you a wide range of food from our menu. Options range from a good selection of healthy and nutritious breakfasts to a wicked selection of those devilishly unhealthy but wonderfully tasty treats that we all sometimes deny having indulged in once we get back from holiday. We won't tell on you, either, so enjoy those rashers of bacon!

We offer you Wi-fi internet at no charge so do bring your laptop with you. Our guests may use as much as they need - when we say it's free, we mean it - there are no hidden costs after a certain time limit or fee for a key number. The staff at The Hotel de Ela all speak English and so you can come back from your day of sightseeing and tell us all about it. As customer service is of such paramount importance to a small hotel like ours you can be safely assured that you can talk to our staff in English.

Berlin is exciting and we hope you find our hotel an exciting concept too - small, friendly, affordable, yet ultra professional in its standards. We hope you'll want to pay us a visit. We're an up to the minute "with it" hotel that fully anticipates the specific needs of "with it" travellers and their families. That's why location was such an important factor for us. We know what it's like to arrive at a hotel on your first night and not want to have to walk out a long distance on that night of arrival just to investigate a city and yet wanting to get out there and see it all. That's why we are situated a few metres from numerous cafes, a Chinese restaurant, fruit stalls and a supermarket.

We are also within easy walking distance of Berlin's city centre and main streets and major tourist attractions such as the world famous zoo, KaDeWe and Ku'damm. Then when you want to delve further into the heart of the city, bear in mind that the U-bahn station (the "tube") is a 5-10 minute walk away from us.

Free! All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All further older children or adults are charged EUR 25 per night per person.

Any type of extra bed or baby cot is upon request and needs to be confirmed by the hotel.

Cancellation Policy

You must give the accommodation at least 48 Hours notice of any change and/or cancellation of your booking, otherwise you will be charged for the 1 night's room charge and any remaining nights will be cancelled.
