Hull Massachusetts USA – Gray Sand Beaches and Island Beauty

Consisting of a series of islands, Hull in Massachusetts is a peninsular town of the United States. With Boston as its neighbouring city, the town has been attracting the tourists visiting the area to have fun at its grey sand beaches. The seven hills of Hull were formed when seven glaciers neared one another millions of years ago and were covered with sand and clay in the course of time.

History
The tribes that lived in the area during the past named the region as Nantasket. It was in the year 1621 that the first trade post was established in the region by the Plymouth Colony. The settlement began in 1622 and the official incorporation of the town occurred in 1644. Originally a part of Suffolk County, the town was included in Norfolk County by the end of the 18th century. However, it was later included in Plymouth County and continues to be till date.

Popular Places
Nantasket Beach is the most popular place to visit in the town. Known for its fine grey sand, the beach remains busy and crowded with the tourists. A number of tide pools formed at low tide are among the highlights of the beach. Paragon Park, which was a fun-filled amusement park in the past, can be visited to explore Paragon Carousel. A clock tower and a mini golf course are accommodated by the park. Dream Machine arcade and Fascination game room too continue to exist in the park. Boston Harbors Island is a nearby National Park Area that can be visited to explore decorative flowers, native tress, rabbits and a variety of marine birds. 

Getting Around
Being a narrow peninsular town, Hull consists of a single main road. It is important to understand that traffic may be daunting in the town especially during the summers. Taxis and car rentals can be used to explore the city. Ferries can guide you to the Boston Harbors Island and other areas around the town.

Places of Entertainment
The Hull Lifesaving Museum is a wonderful place to learn about the popular lifesaving history of the region. A number of tools and historical items exhibited in the museum speak volumes about the lifesavers and the lifesaving techniques. Fort Revere Park is another place worth visiting to have stunning views of Hull and Boston. Seafood restaurants and oceanfront bars in the town are the happening places to be at.
