History
The five centuries of Portuguese colonial rule in Mozambique with the establishment of an independent Marxist Government in 1975. However, a 17-year civil war and internal military uprising resulted in famine and exodus of millions of people. The fighting ended in 1992 after an UN-negotiated peace agreement.

Cars and motorcycle rentals are equally popular options. Only those who possess an international or South African driving license are entitled to drive the car.
