History 
Literally translated, Pulau Pinang means the “Isle of the Betel Nut” in Malay – Malaysia's national language. Penang comprises os an Island and a strip of mainland. Penang offers visitors lots to do and see. Some of the must visit place are George Town, packed with many Heritage buildings, Penang  Hill, at over 820 meters above sea level you can enjoy spectacular views and see some of the grandest colonial masions which have noe been converted into restaurants and guesthouse. Other sights include Kek Lok Si Temple, reclining Buddha, national Park and Tropical Spice Garden to mention but a few.

Getting Around
Penang is pretty compact and getting around is easy especially in the city centre there is bus and taxis, also ferries to and from the mainland, the city centre is compact so no need for a tour guide.
