City Windhoek – A True Representative of German Colonial Architecture

History
Jonker Afrikaner settled near a hot spring of the region in 1840s. The place prospered with building up of a church and gardens. Soon, the city started prospering again, with the incoming of European settlers and establishment of businesses. The South African troops captured the city after the German colonial era ended after its defeat in World War I. However, the real development of the city began after the World War II.
