What is CVM?
CVM is a method used to ensure that a credit card being used in a purchase is in the possession of its owner. We use the CVM to enhance the security of your ordering experience and help detect any fraudulent use of your card.
The CVM security code is a 3 or 4 digit code imprinted on the physical credit card, but not embedded or encrypted in the magnetic stripe. The CVM is sometimes referred to as CVV2 or CID. Locate the CVM code on your card as shown below:

American Express
Four-digit code located on the front, just above and to the right of your credit card number.

Three-digit code located on the signtature strip on the back of your card, following the 16-digit credit card number.

Three-digit code located on the signtature strip on the back of your card, following the 14-digit credit card number.

CVM digits:
CVM stands for Card Verification Methods, which use a security code of three or four extra digits imprinted on the card, but not embedded or encrypted in the magnetic stripe. The CVM code is a 3-digit number located on the signature strip on the back of Visa and MasterCard cards, after the card number. It is on the front of American Express cards, and it is 4 digits long.

What is a Card Verification Value (CVV)?
The Card Verification Value (CVV) is a 3-digit number found on the signature panel on the back of your credit card. It is an additional safeguard that helps us validate your purchase and protect against fraud. It is not contained in the magnetic stripe information and is therefore not printed on sales receipts.
Where is the CVV located?
VISA, MASTERCARD & DISCOVERY
You can find your card verification code on the reverse side of your credit card, printed into the signature field. It is a 3-digit group for MasterCard, Visa, and Discovery.
AMERICAN EXPRESS
The American Express Card verification code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears after and to the right (above) of your card number.
