The African jobs market is flush with opportunities for the right candidates, with the right qualifications and can do attitude.
The key to securing a well paid job and career in today’s African Jobs market, is to have the right qualifications, at least a university graduate level and to be well spoken and fluent in English and in some cases French and Portuguese. Working in Africa can be hard but the rewards for high achievers are vast.
Whether you studied in Europe, North America or Africa as long as your qualifications, Attitude and general persona are right you will find a lot of great job opportunities in many African countries, some countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia are at the forefront.
In South Africa and Nigeria the Telecom, Banking and Finance industry have many opportunities from financial consultants to Portfolio mangers and investment brokers, the opportunities are vast and many, another prominent industries are mining, Oil and Gas. There are nearly always opportunities for the right Candidates.
Angola is another good prospect for Oil and Gas sector, but Portuguese language is a must to getting a job
Many educated Africans in Diaspora are returning home to better paid jobs in their own countries. Instead of living in Western countries, that are now more and more hostile to immigrants (migrant workers)
African jobs market is still one of the worlds last untapped Job markets where candidates can find some Diamond class jobs, recruitment companies are now discovering the true value of the African job market, there are also many Jobs websites and employment portals offering advise on CV’s and Interview Techniques as well as offering many job opportunities in Africa
Good wages and extra benefits for employees, such as housing expenses, and even a car and driver depending on your positions in the case of middle management to senior executive and how well you perform, are offered by employers, to entice the best candidates for the job vacancies, the competition is hard and only the best candidate secures the high paying jobs.
The African job market is still undergoing growth and is yet to explode to its full potential. One of the reasons the job market has not yet reached its full potential are, Lack of technology. The telecom sector (Mobile Telephony), is one of the fastest growing in the world, but access to fixed line telephone is still not where it should be. The continent still lacks adequate internet connectability, making this the last impediment to a leap to a digital and ecommerce market.
Another sector that is flourishing in Africa is travel and tourism, many African countries are expanding the accommodation and entertainment options for travellers, with new hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.
