Obama Delegate Visits London
STEPHANIE SIGURDSON IS PROUD TO BE A DEMOCRAT
It’s not the first time I have engaged in a political discussion about the ongoing US Election with Americans. But this is the first time I have had the pleasure, to meet one of the Delegates, in this case a Democrat Delegate, supporter of Barack Obama named Ms Stephanie Sigurdson, she was visiting London with her friend Mr Tom Crain.
We met in a Mexican Restaurant, in Leicester Square the West End of London, we had an in depth discussion about the Democratic Primary and the US Political scene, one thing that struck me was, her passion and support for Barack Obama, she is what you would consider, politically astute and had a clear idea which direction she thinks America should be heading, she truly believes, that Barack Obama is an agent for change for America, and he has already changed the face of Politics in America, by energising the Younger generation to take interest in the American election, and have a say in which direction American in to be taken in the future.
Stephanie Sigurdson believes that the way forward for America is, to have a Good Leadership, Strong Economy, Good Health Care For all, Good Education and a United America, which she truly believes Barack Obama, will be the President that can unite America, from Working Class, Middle Class and every American, Black, White, Rich or Poor, from large cities to small towns across America.
Stephanie Believes that Democrat’s will be best served, by uniting behind Barack Obama, using their energy and resources to defeat John Mc Cain the presumptive Republican Nominee, instead of some people in the Democratic party, causing a divide in the Party, "you know who" by constantly trying to undermine Barack Obama and handing the Republicans ammunition.
The Democratic Party is like a family and as such, families should stand united and not wash their dirty linen in public.
Our conversation was very enjoyable, but as a Non-American I will be only watching, and listening to the pundits,.
