What Box Are We Meant To Be Thinking Out Of?

Think out of the box, well we have all heard this expression at one time or another and it’s a good piece of advice, if you understand what it means in reality, but what does this concept actually mean in today’s world, and how can it be of benefit to us?

There is not just one meaning or interpretation of this saying but numerous but the basic concept is the same.

Lets take the example below to illustrate.

Holidays are one of the easiest ways to show how thinking out of the box can be very beneficial, save a lot of money and make holidays affordable for everyone, a box in this sense means a set or restricted criteria of what is offer for a holiday, to think outside the box you need to look at other options also

Now let’s think back, before holidays consisted of an expensive commercial airline flight and hotel accommodation, if you couldn’t afford that then it was either a caravan holiday or a BBQ in the back garden, there were no other options.

Now things are a lot different, travelers on a tight budget are no longer stuck in the constricting box of hotels and expensive flights, there are numerous budget airlines flying to countless destinations, offering cheap flights and when it comes to accommodation there are many options

including bed and breakfast, guesthouse, motels and hostels, they all offer cheap accommodation in private rooms or shared dorm rooms.

These two things alone reduce the cost of holiday substantially and bring the world closer for those on a budget.

Thinking outside the box in terms of holidays also includes when you travel, if possible weekday flying is better as the flights are less expensive.

There are many things to consider when holiday planning is being done, but the key thing is not to restrict yourself in what you’re looking for, be flexible and its much easier to find a deal and get more for your money.
