Successful Group Travel

Save Money on Group Travel & Group Accommodation
For a holiday to be successful it doesn’t have to break the bank, what is important is that you have an enjoyable time, this can be done with a lot less money than you would expect as long as you know where to save money and get a bargain, for flights and budget accommodation, this is vital especially when organising group travel and group accommodation, every penny counts and soon adds up.

The city you choose can greatly influence how much you need for a total holiday budget, as even if you get a cheap flight and stay in budget accommodation, some cities are more expensive for food, travel and seeing all the sights.

There are always ways to save money, first of all don’t leave things to the last minute book your flights and cheap group accommodation in Hostels or budget hotels early as the closer to the arrival date the less availability so the price increase.

Booking early for group accommodation also means you have a choice of where to stay as many places will only allow one or two groups at a time to stay at their accommodation, leaving the rest of the rooms available for independent travellers, so if you leave it too late there still may be a little availability but not enough for group bookings, so your group will have to be split into different accommodations, which is a nightmare to co-ordinate.

Once your flights are booked and group accommodation organised the hard part is over, you can now relax a bit and research the cheapest way to enjoy your chosen holiday destination.

Remember to enquire about group discounts to the famous sights and museums as well as good value places to eat. If your cheap hostel accommodation has a guest kitchen it’s a lot cheaper to make a packed lunch in the morning for the group, and then have an evening meal in a local restaurant or cafe. And no a packed lunch is not boring, its only boring if you pack a limp sandwich and nothing with imagination, for example, stuffed pita breads, tortilla wraps, cakes, pies and fruit, there are lots of cheap things that can liven up a dull packed lunch.

When organising a group holiday its important to be organised and start early, success group travel is on average booked at least 8 months in advance to ensure that if there are any mishaps there is enough time to resolve the problem and not panic that your meant to travel in a months time.
