Summer Holiday in Berlin
The best time of year to visit Berlin on holiday is Summer time.
Summer is the best time to travel on holiday to Berlin; travelling during summer can be a bit more expensive than other times of year, but its well worth it, if you have the finances.
Sun, Relaxing and checking out what a city has to offer. During summer everyone is always happier, bubblier and friendlier than other times of year, and the added benefit of Vitamin D the Free Happy vitamin supplied by the Sun, always makes Summer holidays seem a bit more enjoyable than others.
Berlin Germany is one city that benefits from huge number of Summer travellers, I’ve witnessed it myself when I visited Berlin a few Summers a go, the whole city was bussing with atmosphere and there was holiday makers from all over the world and then made a return trip in Autumn, there was still a lot of people as Berlin is a popular destination all year round but not as many as during summer
Around the most popular sights like The Reichstag Building (The German Parliament) and Brandenburg Gate, the most iconic symbol of Berlin with the 5 square architectural entrances tops off with the chariot and horses, Charlottenburg Palace, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island, Kaiser Wilhelm Gedachtniskirche, Berliner Dom, Potsdamer Platz.
There were just as many people in Summer as in Autumn, as its always the sights and places to visit that bring a lot of people to a city, but the smaller side streets were quieter in Autumn and there wasn’t such a long wait to get a table at restaurants and different places.
One thing that was quite a bit different was the accommodation costs, I stayed in the same hotel for both my holidays in Berlin and the price of the room was a lot cheaper during autumn that the price I paid during summer, which I can understand because it is high season.
No matter when you visit Berlin you won’t be disappointed, the city has a fresh, vibrant feel, thanks to the regeneration of different buildings, and places of interest, combined with historical monuments and famous sights, not forgetting that Berlin has an amazing Night life and the clubbing scene attracts a lot of people every year, but if you want to enjoy a holiday in Berlin, the best time is summer.
