Here we are on this amazing place Planet Earth and do we really appreciate the magnitude and splendour of what is all around us? From the air we breathe, the water we drink to the natural marvels like The Great Barrier Reef, Niagara Falls, The Grand Canyon and Mount Kilimanjaro, not to mention all the Man made wonders such as the Pyramids, The Great Wall of China, Eiffel Tower and the Panama Canal.

It is a sad but true fact that all these things are taken for granted and there is a very small minority of us who truly appreciate all these wonders.

As a whole I suppose we could be forgiven for taking such things like the Air we breathe and water for granted because they have always been there, and we hardly think about them, what we forget is without any one of these life ceases to exist.

This is the reason why these other natural and man made marvels and wonders are not also fully appreciated by most of us, unless you have personally seen them in real life, not just seen them on Holiday programmes or documentaries it is hard to comprehend their full beauty.

Of course it is not within everyone's reach to climb mount Everest or go to the North Pole and to visit every wonder and exotic places in the world, there are so many to see, but once you have seen one, you can begin to appreciate all the wonders that are in our world.

The world is getting smaller and more accessible for the masses with the every growing Budget travel industry, from Budget Airlines and online bookings and reservations for cheap accommodation like Hostels, Youth Hostel, discount Hotels, Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfast Hostels to all inclusive holiday package deals that combine cheap flights, accommodation and even meals. This has made travelling accessible, inexpensive and affordable for Students, Backpackers, Budget travellers, low income earners and families.

This type of budget travel is a marvel in itself, it's opened the world for everyone to experience the rich cultures of the world, you can now truly say that we are in the melting pot and all cultures and traditions are having an influence on each other. It is no longer just the rich and famous who get to Globe Trot, we all now have the opportunity to visit places that only a few years ago would have been out of our grasp. With this opportunity comes a responsibility to look after the planet so that future generation can also experience and enjoy this marvellous world.

It is also our responsibility to grasp this chance at globe trotting with both hands and embrace the new experiences that are waiting for us in different places across the Globe, from Safari's in Africa, seeing the sun set over the pyramids in Egypt, feeling the mist of the Victoria Falls, to lazy days on golden sandy beaches in the Caribbean, or shopping in major European and north American cities, and hick hiking through south America.
