Carbon Foot Prints
A Carbon Footprint, is Not what we should leave behind, during our Travel through life
Reducing Carbon Foot Print is the new Buzz phrase and is the latest way to sell energy saving products or Ideas.
In essence this is a great idea, we all make an impact on the environment around us, every time we drive 5 minutes to the shops instead of walking or when we go on holiday and travel on an Aeroplane, we all leave a carbon foot print. We are all capable of minimising this impact and we can all make adjustments to our life to help with the carbon foot print we leave behind us.
Not forgetting the ever increasing costs of fuel and energy making alternative sources of energy like Solar Power, Wind Turbines and Hydro Power seem more and more attractive.
Some thing we can do quite easily to help our environment, like recycling, turning off lights, using energy saving bulbs, not having electrical equipment like the TV, HIFI and Computers on Standby, not running the tap while brushing your teeth and even Car pooling or sharing to take the kids to school or going to the supermarket for the weekly shopping. These things can be done quite easily and will not mean major changes in our every day life, just a little bit more care and consideration is needed.
The major issues like alternative renewable sources of energy can’t be taken on by individuals these issues need to be tackled by Governments and major international companies and corporations, its going to take a lot of investment and infrastructure implementation, to make renewable sources of energy viable and part of our every day life.
But just like years gone by, when we had to take a boat to visit far off places, we now have east access to online bookings for budget airlines and cheap Hostels Accommodation, and think nothing of a weekend trip to Europe or New York, nearly everywhere is quite easy to travel to.
Our Children will hopefully, have easy access to renewable sources of energy and see Solar, Wind and Hydro Power as the main Source of energy in their life.
