All rooms are furnished with washing facilities with warm and cold water. Modern sanitary facilities separated by gender are available on each floor. Six floors, 51 rooms with a total of 201 beds. One elevator. Two common rooms, one bar and a beer garden in the summer. Lockers. A luggage room. A public (coin) telephone. Free parking.

Rooms are available starting at 3 pm on the date of arrival, although you may check-in prior to that. Our free luggage room is available for storing luggage in the meantime.

Cleanliness is a high priority for us. All rooms are cleaned daily, as well as are our common rooms and areas.

The hostel is located in a safe area in the district of Schöneberg. The building and the rooms are equipped with a highly modern keycard system.

The entire hostel has a modern fire alarm system with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers on each floor.

Additionally, our reception is staffed 24 hours a day so there is always a contact person available for questions and problems.

Indoor/ Fun

No time for boredom: internet access for surfing, chatting and checking emails (for a fee). Billiards, table football (foosball), video games, karaoke, free cinema movies on a large screen and much more. Getting There

The hostel for price conscientious travelers is in the vicinity of the train station Zoologischer Garten. The nearest U-Bahn stations are "U7 Bayerischer Platz" (ca. 4-min walk) and "U4 Rathaus Schöneberg" (ca. 3-min walk).

With the various S-Bahn, U-Bahn and bus lines in the direct vicinity, our guests quickly reach Berlin's most interesting sights (ca. 15 minutes), such as the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, Alexanderplatz, Ku'damm and the Berlin Zoo. Berlin's new center and Prenzlauerberg can be reached in ca. 20 minutes.

The best source of information about current events is via the popular city magazines Zitty or Tip (German links).

You can always find just what you are looking for in this city at any time, day or night. Wherever the eye wanders there are restaurants, bars, cafés, pubs, etc, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The gastronomic selection includes everything from lamb in mint sauce to simple hamburger patties with potato salad, and not to forget the Berlin specialties of curry wurst and doener kebabs. There are over 8000 restaurants from which to choose. Especially in Schöneberg you'll find endless opportunities for going out around Winterfeldplatz and Nollendorfplatz, which also serves as the center of Berlin's gay scene.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT From Hauptbahnhof/Lehrter Bahnhof take the S7 in direction to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and leave it at Zoologischer Garten. Then get out of the station via exit Hardenbergplatz and pick the bus M46 in direction to Britz/Buschkrug. Leave the bus at the stop Rathaus Schöneberg â€" now you are on the Martin-Luther-Strasse. Follow the street in northwarth direction (against the course of the bus), cross the Badensche Strasse and Martin-Luther-Strasse. On the left side you now see the Meininger Strasse â€" after 50m you reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel. From Ostbahnhof take the S5, S7 or S9 in direction to Zoologischer Garten. Leave the train here and follow the way as aforementioned in the description from Hauptbahnhof/Lehrter Bahnhof. From central bus station (ZOB) take the Bus 104 (in direction to Stralau/Tunnelstrasse). Leave it at the stop Rathaus Schöneberg and follow the way as aforementioned in the description from Hauptbahnhof/Lehrter Bahnhof. AIRPORT From Tegel Airport take the Bus X9 or 109 in direction to Zoologischer Garten, where you have to get off. Change to the bus M46 (direction: Britz-Süd / Alt-Tempelhof) and leave it at the stop Rathaus Schöneberg. Now you are on the Martin-Luther-Strasse. Follow the street in northwarth direction (against the course of the bus), cross the Badensche Strasse and Martin-Luther-Strasse. On the left side you now see the Meininger Strasse â€" after 50m you reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel. From Schönefeld Airport take the S45 in direction to Gesundbrunnen unto Innsbrucker Platz. Change to the underground U4 (direction: Nollendorfplatz) and get out at Rathaus Schöneberg. Leave the station in direction of motion, cross the Freiherr-Vom-Stein-Strasse and proceed it right-handed. After a few meters you reach the Martin-Luther-Strasse. Traverse the parking area before the Rathaus Schöneberg in nortwarth direction â€" at the end you cross the Badensche Strasse and Martin-Luther-Strasse. On the left side you now see the Meininger Strasse â€" after 50m you reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel. From Tempelhof Airport take the bus 104 at the stop Columbiadamm/Friesenstrasse in direction to Neu-Westend/Brixplatz. After approx. 10 minutes you arrive at the stop Rathaus Schöneberg. Follow the way in direction of motion â€" the first crossroad is the Meininger Strasse. After 50m you reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel. BY CAR From northwest (Hamburg) you drive on the highway A24 towards Berlin/Lübeck. Change to the A10 in direction to Berlin Zentrum (nördlicher Ring) at triangle Havelland. At triangle Oranienburg, you change to the A111 still on the way to Berlin Zentrum. Now you reach the city-highway A100 which has different gateways to the city centre. For one you can take the gateway Innsbrucker Platz in direction to Tiergarten. You are now on the Hauptstrasse â€" after 800m you turn left into the Martin-Luther-Strasse. After 500 more meters you turn right into the Meininger Strasse (there is a restaurant named MEININGERs) and reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel after 50m on the right side. From east (Frankfurt an der Oder), drive on the highway directed to berlin. Follow the markers to Berlin Zentrum until Schönefelder Kreuz. There you have to change to the A113 which opens out in the city-highway A100. You leave at the gateway Innsbrucker Platz and arrive at a cross-way. Turn right into the Hauptstrasse and leave it after approx. 30m leftwards into the Martin-Luther-Strasse. After 500m you turn right into the Meininger Strasse (there is a restaurant named MEININGERs) and reach the MEININGER City Hostel & Hotel after 50m on the right side. From south (Dresden) you use the highway A13 towards Berlin. Watch out for the markers in direction to Berlin Zentrum (A113) at the Schönefelder Kreuz. This way you reach the city-highway which you follow in direction to Messedamm (airport Tempelhof / Tegel). Use the gateway Innsbrucker Platz and follow the way as aforementioned in the upper descriptions. From west (Hannover/Magdeburg), drive on the highway A2 to Berlin. At the triangle Potsdam the A2 changes into A10. Follow it and change to the A115 (direction: Berlin Zentrum) at the triangle Nuthetal. Now you are on the A100 â€" follow the signs to the airport Schönefeld until you are at the gateway Innsbrucker Platz. Then follow the way as aforementioned in the upper descriptions
