History:

Sitra, also known as the Portuguese Fort, can be visited to view a number of excavations found here. Al-Khamis Mosque and Fadel Mosque are other tourist sites worth visiting.

Bus services are available to connect various points of the city. Apart from that, one can hire a taxi or get a car on rent to get around the city, a good
guide is to keep some small notes and change handy to pay for your travel.

Manama offers unlimited entertainment through its innumerable venues. Corniche al-Fateh is located on the east coast and is known to offer mesmerizing views of the city. A number of bars and children rides are also found at this spot. The famous pubs in the city are great way to get entertained, with lots of music and drinks served here. There is no dearth of cinemas and theatres in the city.
Shopping is one activity that you can’t afford to miss while on a trip to Manama. Gold jewellery can be purchased at various stores in the city.
