Binyamina, located in Israel’s Haifa district, is home to Israel’s most beautiful archaeological site, landscapes and agri-tourism making it a desirable tourist destination.
History
Binyamina was founded in 1922 after the name of one of Israel’s most vociferous visionary, philanthropist as well as Jewish settlement supporter in Palestine, Yakir Sidler. He was involved in the heartless killing of forty people during 1948 in this region. The town gained recognition as a honey and wine producing centre when wineries were established over here in 1985.

Binyamina’s wine vineyards are known for its Cabernet-Franc grapes plantations. The region is believed to produce more than 3.1 million wine bottles every year. Wine tours are a great way to explore the region’s organic fertilization techniques along with its related activities. A huge 150-acre wine park is being planned on Binyamina’s slopes further boosting the region’s image as a wine tourism centre.
The Achiam Sculpture Museum located in the Jabotinsky Park contains rich exhibits of art and is an element of a huge complex of galleries, exhibits and archaeological site. The wooden, bronze and stone sculptures kept in this museum are works of Achiam Shoshany. The Caesarea archaeological site is also very popular. A Roman Theatre belonging to this site houses concerts, festivals and entertainment extravaganzas. Caesarea is also one of Israel’s most upscale residences proving to be an ideal location for venturing out because of Binyamina’s vacation villages and peaceful environment.
Some other popular attractions in Binyamina are its sandy beaches, boutiques and galleries situated around the beautiful Mediterranean cove.

Buses, taxis, rented cars, bikes and walking are the available modes of transport for getting around Binyamina. Also, the region is well connected with Tel Aviv through trains thereby reducing the effort required to
guide your way to this distant location.

The region’s natural reserve is home to Israel’s wine tourism and wine parks or vineyards form a major attraction here. The region is also popular for its International Opera festival and Jazz festival annually arranged in Caesarea.
