Chillout Galata makes you feel as home.

We founded our new place in December 2006. We renovated the building and made lots of paintings on the walls. Now, the place is a home for lots of people from all over the world.

Our goal is to make you feel comfortable in Chillout Galata. Feel free to come home when ever you like. There is no curfew. Prepare your food in the kitchen if you like, or sit and chill on the huge pillows in the living room. You will meet lots of people who have the same interests like you: travelling. You will find many people for chatting about experiences you have had in different cultures. The Chillout hostel is your friends place, you are our guest, because you are our friend.

Chillout is a hostel at the heart of turkey's heart, Istanbul. not really tourist area to visit the mosques, or explore carpets like sultanahmet. in the very centre of all social centres, shops, clubs and nightlife, we are a place to chill out with an -almost- historical, old building with its own character and friendly atmosphere. Still cheap, still chill out, still a home for lot of colourful people from around the world. All-nightlong chatting, spontaneous BBQ parties, and friendly stuff will make you feel as home.

You must give us 24 hours notice of any change and/or cancellation of your booking, otherwise you will be charged for the first night of your stay and any remaining nights will be cancelled.

Chillout Galata Hotel Cheap and Inexpensive Place to Stay in Istanbul Turkey.

Taksim is the best known region in Istanbul. You can reach us easily with metro, bus, taxi, or by walking. The Istiklal street starts in the taksim square and ends at the "tünel" The Chillout Galata hostel is on the way between the Galata tower and "Tünel" From Taksim square you walk about 20 minutes on this big shopping street, pass the Galatasaray lise on the left, walk straight, where the tram road is. The end of the tram road is Tünel. From there you walk down the street with all the music instrument shops. On the left side is the "Mevlana Türbesi". The second street on the right is the sahkulu sok. 70 meters down on the corner is our hostel. Number 13, chillout Galata. Welcome home. From the Airport "Atatürk": Use the metro. The last station is Aksaray. From there take a taxi (about 6 YTL) to Istiklal caddesi "Tünel" Tepebasi. If you come to the airport and it is too late for thje metro, take a taxi. Taxi costs about 30 YTL From the airport "Sabiha Gökcen": For those, who are flying with German Wings, the easiest way to come to Taksim is, in taking the havas bus to Taksim Square. From the train station Sirkeci: Taxi doesn`t cost that much, but you can easily walk, it may take 20 minutes. Pass on the galata towerand find sahkulu sok 13.
