Freeborn Hostel Timisoara.

This family run hostel founded by two brothers who love to travel, located in the centre of Timisoara, the hostel offers guest an affordable place to stay and great base to explore the city and everything on offer.

We want you feel at home, our relaxed atmosphere makes the hostel a great place to chill out either in the lounge or garden that had table tennis, canopied seating, hammock and beautiful foliage and flowers. The guest kitchen is fully equipped and also has free tea/coffee, there is Free Wi-Fi Access and the staff are always willing to go the extra mile to make your holiday enjoyable.

To start your visit off to Timisoara the right way and to welcome you to your home away from home we give every guest a welcome drink of home made traditional Palinca.

When you think of central location usually is at least a few minutes walk to different places here all you have to do is walk for about 60 seconds and you will find restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, park and everything else.

For those that like to party there are a lot of great night clubs that rock until the early hours.

Cancelation Policy

To make any amendments or cancellations guest must email the hostel directly with their request, giving at least 48 hours notice. For late notification or no-show your credit/debit card will be charged 1 nights accommodation costs.

To get to the hostel follow these guides: 1. From the main train station(Gara de Nord) A) As you get out of the train station take a right, you will see the tram station there. Take the Tram Number 1 and get off at he 4th stop called Cathedral (Catedrala). You will see the big church with green tiles (roof). In front of the church is the main Square, Victory Square so cross the street and go almost until the end of the square. On the right you will see an international symbol, yes, McDonald's :). Take a right after McDonald's and just keep going straight for 2 minutes. You will pass the Banat Museum (ex Huniade Castle) then you will see the cross walk so cross the street there is a very small park in front of you and after the park there is s small street where we are! It's the second building from left to right with a brown gate and big black and yellow letters on the window 'HOSTEL'. Street name is Patriarh Miron Cristea nr.3 (former Asanesti). If you still have problems getting there my phone number is +40 743 43 85 34. You can call me and I will be more then happy to come and get you! Also you can go to the hostels website and click location for more info B) Alternatively, you can use the trolleybus T11, T14 or T18 and get off at the second station called Piata Regina Maria. From there, keep going straight and in 3 minutes you will reach the main square, Victory Square. Go towards McDonald's and before McDonald's take a left and just keep going straight for 2 minutes. You will pass the Banat Museum (ex Huniade Castle) then you will see the cross walk so cross the street there is a very small park in front of you and after the park there is s small street where we are! As you walk out of the train station take a left, keep going straight for 15-20 minutes. You will reach the main square, Victory Square and of course you will see McDonald's:). From there follow the directions pointed above at plan 'B)'! Also you can go to the hostels website and click location for more info 2.From the airport. A) First option: You can get the E4 bus and exit at 6th stop called Bastion. From there it's a 10 minute walk. As you get out of the bus, take a left you will cross the road and go under the Bastion (remains of a fortress wall). From there just keep going straight. You will see a tall white building, which is Hotel Continental. Behind that building is a park, cross the park in a diagonal way and as you get out of the park you will see a roundabout to your right and to the left there are 2 small kiosks (where local bus number 19 stops) and behind them, the kiosks, the second building is the hostel, it has a dark brown gate. The street name is Patriarh Miron Cristea (former Asanesti) number 3. Also you can go to the hostels website and click location for more info B) Second option: We have airport pick-up, so we can organize the pickup for you and your group, by calling our transporter guy . Request has to be made in front to ensure availability. C) Third option: You can get a taxi calling the one of the following taxi numbers:+40 256 945,+40 256 942,+40 256 940. Do not get a taxi from already parked in the airport, because they have higher prices (or negociate with them for a good price (35-40 lei). Then ask for Asanesti Street, No.3, Ap.1 (near the Banat Museum). New street name is Patriarh Miron Cristea. Normal pirce from the airport to the hostel is around 35-40 lei (8-9 euros) 3. From the main bus(coach) station A) As you get out of the station (probably Super Imposer, it's the main one) take a left, go 2-3 minutes and you will reach the main train station (Gara de Nord). The street is Patriarh Miron Cristea former Asanesti street, No.3, Ap.1 (near the Banat Museum). It should cost 8-9 lei (2 euros)
