History:
Discovered by King Gustav I of Sweden, the city grew drastically during the Roman Empire. Post the civil war in the early 20th century it rose to be the current economical capital of Finland.

Korkeasaari, a beautiful island, homes the biggest Zoo of Finland and has collection of wild Reindeer, northern Owl species, Wolverines, and many other mammals from Asia and Europe.
