About This Hostel
La Casa Roja Hostel.
Welcome to La Casa Roja, an Australian run, elegant, historic aristocratic 19th century mansion in the heart of Santiago.
You'll be amazed by the beauty of this restored "casona" and impressed by the facilities that we've installed for you to enjoy your stay in Santiago. To try and save you money we've a huge 45m2 equipped kitchens that actually allows you and others to cook. More communal areas than some entire hostels, with elegant dining, TV and sitting rooms, pretty internal courtyards and big grassed back garden, complete with bar and swimming pool.
Our dorms are also extremely spacious even with the individual lockers and our beautiful bathrooms have 24hr hot water. Free internet, wifi, travel agency and tourist info + more. Table tennis; swim up bar, even a cricket net!
And atmosphere!! Yes at La Casa Roja we encourage people to socialize, with BBQ nights, live music nights, wine tasting, theme parties, indoor/outdoor movies and licensed bars, Close to metro, city centre, bars, restaurants and all the other normal stuff!

How to Get There
Only 35 minutes from the international Airport, the local bus "Centropuerto" will take you to "Los Héroes" Metro station (Line 1). - From there walk to Av. Brasil and turn right, 4 blocks up you will find La Casa Roja opposite the petrol station "Shell". The shuttle "transfer" will take you to the hostel previous payment $5200, and with a taxi is for CH$15000.
From the bus terminal you take the Metro to "Republica" station (Line 1), walk 4 blocks up Cumming street or Av. Brasil until Agustinas. Or take a taxi that will cost you around CH$3000.
