Welcome to Tashkonak a family run boutique hotel, offering fantastic value in Sultanahmet (old city), Istanbul - Turkey. Tashkonak Hotel is an Old Ottoman House dating back to the 19th Century and has been carefully restored and refurbished to be used as a Special Class Hotel.

It has modern and comfortable rooms furnished in a similar fashion to the Traditional Ottoman houses.

Historical Tash Konak Hotel is located just a short walk from most of the capital's major tourist attractions in Old City Center of Istanbul. It is placed very close to the Byzantine and Ottoman monuments; The famous Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, The Old Hippodrome, The Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace and The Basilica Cistern all just a few steps from the Hotel.

Tashkonak Hotel has its own Private Secluded Garden offering rest for the weary, Tashkonak Hotel also boasts a roof top terrace with magnifificient views of the Bosphorous and the Old City

Buffet Breakfast is provided on the rooftop dining room with covered and open air facilities.

Hotel Tashkonak offers 32 guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning, double glazing, mini bar, hairdryer, direct dial International telephones, smoke detector, remote controlled colour TV featuring local and international cable TV channels and a wireless broadband Internet connection (Wi-Fi).

Our rooms are designed and decorated using handmade unique furniture to make your stay both comfortable and yet at the same time experience the feeling of a traditional Turkish house.

Rooms either overlook the beautiful cobbled street or the hotel's garden, some rooms offer a sea view and some rooms overlook the roof and minarets of The Blue Mosque.

The Hotel provide private airport pick up service from the Airport to Hotel. Pick up service is 20 Euros for max 4 person.

Our reception can make reservations for city tours, day trips,theater visits, concerts and sporting events. We can also arrange fully qualified professional certificated masseur/masseuse and trips to the Turkish Baths.

DIRECTION FROM THE ATATURK AIRPORT

From the airport, look for signs to Sirkeci and follow the coastal road for 15 kilometres to Sultanahmet. Turn left on Kennedy Caddesi to Aksakal Sokak. Continue for 200 metres and turn right on to Kucukayasofya Sokak. Continue for two more blocks and turn right on Kapiagasi Sokak. Take the first left turn and you will see the Tashkonak Hotel on your left.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

There is light metro system from Ataturk airport to SULTANAHMET area. But you should use 2 different lines to arrive Sultanahmet. First line: Airport to AksaraySecond line : Aksaray to Sultanahmet Follow the 'light metro' signs at the airport. Get in the metro and get out last station in AKSARAY.  Walk 2 min. to other line, take it in Aksaray to Sultanahmet. Tashkonak Hotel located 5 minute walk away from the Sultanahmet tram station.
