The Hangover was filmed here! Remember one of the actors married the stripper? The hostel was the wedding chapel. It's also the site where the cop car backed through the 'prop' bus stop in an action scene!
You can literally step out the front door onto the famous Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas Blvd)! A bus 100 meters from there can take you up & down the strip or you can walk about 15 minutes to the first major Hotel/Casino on the strip - the Stratosphere.
Hostel Cat is just one mile from downtown and the Fremont Street Experience - very fun. There are people walking about day & night, drinking right on the street in this electric city.
