History
The traces of the earliest civilization of Osaka were found at the Morinomiya remains that date back to the 5th century. Built by Prince Shotoku (574-622 A.D.), Shitennoji is one of the most revered shrines in Japan and is often regarded as the Buddhist altar of Osaka.
